Where is Skardis?
In Strošiūnai (Skardžio g. 10, Kaišiadorys district), right off the A1 motorway, roughly halfway between Vilnius and Kaunas. It is easiest to reach when driving from Kaunas towards Vilnius; coming from Vilnius you will need to turn around (two U-turns) – the map link shows the route.
What are your opening hours?
Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday 11:00–20:00, Friday and Saturday 11:00–22:00. Closed on Mondays. Hours may differ on public holidays – please call +370 649 43232.
Is Skardis a good place to stop on the A1?
Yes. It is right by the road, with a large parking area. In a hurry? Cepelinai (potato dumplings) can be on your table in about 10 minutes.
What kind of food do you serve?
European cuisine: grilled duck breast, salmon and chicken, the “Skardis” grill plate, braised beef cheeks with porcini sauce, pork knuckle, cepelinai, potato pancakes, Caesar salads, soups, desserts and a kids’ menu.
Can we stop with a coach or tour group?
Yes. The parking area fits coaches, and up to 150 guests can eat at the same time. Please book group meals at least 1 day in advance by phone +370 649 43232 or with the inquiry form. All payment methods are accepted.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. There is a playground next to the terrace, an 18-hole mini golf course on the grounds and a separate kids’ menu.
Can we hold a wedding, party or conference?
Yes – weddings, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate parties and conferences for up to 150 guests. We have a banquet hall, a conference hall, the “Kupolas” hall and a gazebo among the pines. Banquet menus start from €43 per guest.
Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
